Welcoming Ramadan, Pertamina Directors Visit Petrol Stations in Pekanbaru

Pekanbaru, April 3, 2022 - Director of Strategy, Portfolio, and Business Development of PT Pertamina (Petsero) Iman Rachman visited several Public Fuel Filling Stations (SPBU) in Pekanbaru, Riau, on the first day of Ramadan fasting, Sunday (3/4/2022).

During this visit, Iman monitored and ensured fuel oil (BBM) and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) availability for the community.

He said that his party understands that the economic recovery process in Indonesia will run faster. Therefore, increasing the growth of business activities will encourage an increase in fuel demand.

"For this reason, Pertamina guarantees the fulfillment of fuel and LPG supply for the community, especially during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr," he said.

He also stated that all the Directors of Pertamina Holding and Subholding had carried out surprise inspections (sidak) to various regions in Indonesia. It  is done to ensure fuel and LPG supplies availability.

Specifically for the Northern Sumatera region (Sumbagut), the Director of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Alfian Nasution, visited a petrol station in West Sumatera on Friday (1/4/2022), and the Director of Logistics and Infrastructure of PT Pertamina Mulyono visited North Sumatera on Saturday (2/4/2022).

"From the inspection results of the directors in West Sumatera and North Sumatera, there is no longer a queue of vehicles. Currently, the vehicles queue condition at the Pekanbaru petrol station has also been monitored normally," said Iman.

He added that Pertamina would form a special task force for Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr (RAFI Task Force), which will be on duty from April 11 to May 10, 2022.

The RAFI Task Force team will coordinate with relevant agencies, such as the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), the Ministry of Transportation, the Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas), the TNI, and the Indonesian National Police (Polri).

Iman also appreciated the Riau Police and the Riau Energy and Mineral Resources Office for supporting the implementation of monitoring the subsidized fuel distribution. "We continue to coordinate and carry out education and socialization with all stakeholders and the authorities in supporting the subsidized fuel distribution that is more targeted," he explained

Pertamina will prepare additional services of standby petrol stations, standby tank trucks, motorists, pocket petrol stations, and rest areas equipped with health facilities for travelers at several points on the homecoming route. Moreover, Pertamina also ensures quality fuel stocks availability, namely the Pertamax Series and Dex Series,always available at petrol stations.

On this occasion, Iman visited four petrol stations in Pekanbaru, namely 14.282.635 Arifin Ahmad Street SPBU, 14.282.685 Payung Sekaki SPBU, 14.282.636 Soekarno Hatta Street SPBU, and 14.282.6115 Sembilang Street SPBU. He also greeted and appreciated the petrol station operators for carrying out their duties well.

"I hope the officers will remain disciplined in their work and be enthusiastic about carrying out their duties while still implementing health protocols. Happy fasting for Muslims, apology inwardly and outwardly," he said.
