These are Pertamina's Efforts to Accurately and Efficiently Distribute BBM to the Community

September 8, 2022 - Pertamina strives for fuel production and distribution to run well, safely, and accurately to the public. In order to prevent leaking in the field, how are the procedure and supervision?

President Director of Pertamina, Nicke Widyawati, explained that Pertamina has a data monitoring system from upstream production to fuel distribution through the Pertamina Integrated Enterprise Data and Command Center (PIEDCC). Through the PIEDCC system, Pertamina's performance could be monitored, from crude oil production to fuel distribution.

"We can directly see the liquid or gas flow. Regarding fuel, it can be seen from how many production refineries there are because each refinery has its own product. Then the products are distributed to the Fuel Oil Terminal (TBBM)," Nicke explained when accompanying the Minister of SOEs to review the PIEDCC at the Grha Pertamina Building, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (7/9/2022).

Nicke said, from TBBM, the number of fuel will be automatically distributed to transport vehicles (tank trucks) according to the amount entered through the system. All this data is also monitored through PIEDCC.

Furthermore, transportation by tanker truck to the Public Fuel Filling Station (SPBU) is also monitored systematically. She explained that a reduction in the fuel amount carried by tanker trucks could potentially happen. The depreciation rate has a reasonable limit, and the amount of fuel transported is constantly monitored by the PIEDCC system.

Not only on land but supervision is also carried out at sea when transporting fuel by ship. Pertamina has around 258 vessels recorded and monitored directly through the PIEDCC.

"If people say someone is urinating in the sea, it means that if the boat speed is zero (on stop), but it is in the middle of the sea, it can be directly connected to the system and there is CCTV inside. Thus, we can see what is being done," Nicke explained.

Nicke said the PIEDCC system was Pertamina's effort to anticipate and prevent unnatural fuel loss, starting from production at refineries, distribution by tanker trucks and ships, to entering gas stations and being consumed by the public. It is also an effort for efficiency in fuel production and distribution.

“That is an effort done to reduce losses, from the refinery, entering the ship, entering the tank car, and entering the petrol station. At petrol stations, everything is recorded, for example, dispenser number 5 at the petrol station to know what products are used, thus if there is a difference, you can see it," Nicke said.**
