The Directors of PT KPI Reviews the Operational Reliability of the Pertamina Plaju Refinery

Plaju, April 10, 2023 - PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional (KPI) Refinery Unit III Plaju continues to ensure its operational reliability in processing fuel & LPG and petrochemical products.

It became the attention of the Board of Directors of PT KPI. Director of HR & Business Support of PT KPI, Isnanto Nugroho, said PT KPI's directors fully support operational reliability at the Pertamina Plaju Refinery by ensuring the Asset Integrity & Process Safety implementation.

"We continue to ensure that technical aspects related to asset integrity & process safety are well implemented at the Pertamina Plaju Refinery, given its high complexity," said Isnanto, at the Impressive Management Walkthrough (iMWT) moment or a visit to the Pertamina Plaju Refinery on Wednesday (05/ 04/2023).

He appreciated the recent performance and achievements made by the Pertamina Plaju Refinery. "Indeed, RU III Plaju is a good and accomplished RU. We are very proud. Thanks to our hard, agile, and thorough work," he said.

Besides the operational aspects, Isnanto emphasizes the importance of HSSE, which are implemented in full compliance. "The HSSE aspect must be supported by monitoring and equipped with binding consequences for the work safety," he said.

By directly inspecting the refinery condition, Isnanto hopes to foster employee enthusiasm in boosting the company's performance, emphasizing the Pertamina Plaju Refinery's commitment to maintaining energy availability for the country.

Increasing Production Capacity

The General Manager of the Pertamina Plaju Refinery, Yulianto Triwibowo, stated that in general, the refinery operational conditions were safe and under control as well as the increasing production capacity, usually, it was only 80 MBSD (Thousand Barrels Per Day), now has been increased to 90 MBSD.

On the other hand, human resource development is also enhanced by growing awareness and ownership within each employee. "We have also started conducting Mindset and Culture Day activities, and by paying attention to small things, it is hoped that we can increase the sense of awareness and ownership for workers while contributing to the people of Sumbagsel even though this factory is old," said Yulianto.

Yulianto also said that the relationship with stakeholders is well maintained. "We always maintain communication with government and community stakeholders, so they will also pray for our refinery's safety," Yulianto said.

It is hoped that the Plaju Refinery can continue to operate safely, reliably and comply with regulations while always side by side with stakeholders and the surrounding community. "We hope to process the best energy for the country," he concluded.**

Pertamina Plaju Refinery

The Pertamina Plaju Refinery, or PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional Refinery Unit III Plaju, is one of the six refinery units operated by PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional as part of the Sub-Holding Refining & Petrochemicals of PT Pertamina (Persero).

This oil refinery operating in Palembang, South Sumatera, is one of the oldest refinery units in Indonesia, which has been operating since 1904, contributing to meeting national energy needs, especially in Southern Sumatera (Sumbagsel).**
