Emma Sri Martini, the Director of Finance of Pertamina, stated that this collaboration is continues the partnership between Pertamina and USAID, which began in 2022 in the sustainability field. It includes assistance in the Sustainability Taxonomy & Budget Tagging development, further refinement of the ESG Roadmap, and Gender Equality Programs implementation.

"As part of our close partnership, we are pleased to work with Pertamina to accelerate the energy transition in Indonesia," Brian stated.

The USAID SINAR program was first launched in early 2021 and will be implemented until 2026. Through this program, USAID, an agency of the United States government, provides support for the energy transition development in Indonesia to be more sustainable, reliable, and renewable. USAID SINAR will continuously provide assistance in energy transition initiatives formulation and implementation to identify various company activities that can contribute to Pertamina's ESG goals, enabling the Net Zero Emissions achievement by 2060 and the energy transition.

With this collaboration, Pertamina is committed to supporting energy transition acceleration, implementing sustainability programs, achieving net-zero emission targets, and fulfilling the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Collaboration with various parties, including USAID, is essential to overcome challenges in achieving these targets, such as financial challenges, technology availability, and capacity building.

Through these programs’ achievements, Pertamina hopes that ongoing sustainability initiatives can support the Indonesian government's target to achieve Net Zero Emissions by 2060. It is hoped that this positive collaboration can continue in the future to create a sustainable Indonesia and ensure the sustainability of the Earth.**
