Rewarded with the 2022 CSR Award, Pertamina is Considered Successful in Mobilizing the National Economy

Jakarta, October 3, 2022 – Pertamina's commitment and active role as one of the Indonesian SOEs in the Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program is considered capable of creating sustainable economic and social value to move the national economy. For this, Pertamina received the 2022 CSR Award in Economics.

Republika, who gave the award, added that Pertamina could integrate social issues and challenges into creating economic value, including facilitating efforts to empower MSMEs aligned with the company's operations.

"This is Republika's first event specifically for CSR. We do it as gratitude to corporations who are serious about their CSR programs that truly empower the community," said Republika's Editor-in-Chief, Irfan Junaidi.

Pertamina has long played a constructive role in creating a better ecosystem by assisting MSMEs to develop and become independent.

To continue upgrading MSMEs, Pertamina supports its MSMEs to increase their efforts with various MSME Academy development programs, such as providing access to capital, training, certification assistance, and expanding marketing. Thus, MSMEs can be strong and independent while providing multiplier effects on the economy. Several other excellent programs with CSV (Creating Shared Value), including the Pinky Movement and Enduro Entrepreneurship Program, have also received appreciation from various parties.

"Since 1993, more than 66,000 MSMEs became Pertamina's fostered partners. And no less than 1 million Indonesians have a direct impact," said Fajriyah Usman, VP CSR & SMEPP Management of PT Pertamina (Persero), when receiving the award in Jakarta on Tuesday, September 27, 2022.

Fajriyah added that this award is a responsibility and for Pertamina because Pertamina has consistently carried out community empowerment to help the Indonesian economy movement of the Indonesian.

The Minister of SOE, Erick Thohir, also appreciated the companies that received the award. The Ministry of SOEs continues to encourage TJSL in SOEs to focus on three things, education, the environment, and empowering MSMEs.

"Do not let CSR activities end here. It becomes an important part and a good foundation to make it happen," Erick said .**
