Reviewing Pertamina's Command Center, Erick Thohir Monitors Stocks and Efforts to Anticipate Fuel Leaks

September 7, 2022 - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (SOE), Erick Thohir, visited the Pertamina Integrated Enterprise Data and Command Center (PIEDCC) to see Pertamina's readiness in energy distribution to remote areas of the country. Erick assessed that the system built by Pertamina could detect the availability, distribution, and potential fuel leaks in real-time.

Erick visited the PIEDCC at the Grha Pertamina Building, Central Jakarta, accompanied by President Director of Pertamina, Nicke Widyawati, on Wednesday (7/9/2022). Erick monitored the big screen that presented Pertamina's petrol stations condition in various regions of Indonesia and directly reviewed the fuel availability (stock) data throughout Indonesia, which was explained by SVP of Integrated Enterprise Data and Command Center, Ignatius Sigit Pratopo.

"This command center was created by Pertamina to detect production results. We can see the production results, what the process is like, the distribution both by sea and land, there is also early detection if there is a reduction in stock until it goes to petrol stations and is used by the community," said Erick.

From a review at PIEDCC, Erick emphasized that the fuel stock for all regions of Indonesia is still in sufficient condition, both upstream to downstream. He also emphasized that through PIEDCC, Pertamina could implement efficiency in both production and sales.

"I am now checking directly to make sure the quota (stock) is in a sufficient condition, and the distribution is safe and does not leak, as well as is efficient and effective," he said. From PIEDCC's monitoring, the stock availability of Pertalite type fuel is at 17 days level, Pertamax is at 49 days level, and Pertamax Turbo is at 99 days level. Meanwhile, the Solar type availability is at 18 days level, and Pertamina Dex at 76 days level. Meanwhile, Avtur fuel availability is at 31 days level.

Meanwhile, Nicke explained that through PIEDCC, we could monitor the fuel flow from production to distribution to the public. Even the PEDCC system can directly monitor potential distribution leaks in the field.

"This is an effort that we are doing to reduce losses, both from the refinery, entering the ship, the tank trucks, and entering the petrol station. At the petrol station, everything is recorded, for example, from dispenser number 5, what products are issued. Therefore, if there is a difference, it is immediately visible,” explained Nicke.

Furthermore, Erick added that the PIEDCC system development should be done, especially now that it has become an era with digital-based data systems. He also added that the data presented by Pertamina could be collaborated with existing data in the National Police, especially in monitoring fraud matters in the field.

"We are coordinating with the National Police Chief to sign the MoU. Thus, we will synchronize this data, police data, and also monitor if there is hoarding. We encourage this collaboration with the National Police Chief," said Erick.**
