Protecting the Beachfront Area, PHE ONWJ Planted Thousand Mangroves on Ujung Ori Beach Indramayu

Indramayu, March 14, 2023 - Pertamina Hulu Energi Offshore North West Java (PHE ONWJ) Java Regional Subholding Upstream Pertamina cooperates with the Rawat Jagat Community and Oil and Gas Hulu Jabar (MUJ) ONWJ in planting a thousand mangroves in Ujung Ori Beach, Patrol Lor Village, District Patrol, Indramayu Regency, Wednesday (01/03).

The Head of the Rawat Jagat Community, Zulkarnaen, hoped this program could benefit the community. "Hopefully, we get the blessing from Allah," he said.

Representing institutions and the community, he appreciates the support given by PHE ONWJ to coastal communities. "One form of our synergy with PHE ONWJ is the creation of a secretariat at Ujung Ori Beach. This secretariat can be used as a benefit for the Patrol Lor community," Zulkarnaen continued.

Meanwhile, the Head of Communication, Relations & CID of PHE ONWJ, R. Ery Ridwan, hoped that the synergy created between PHE ONWJ and the community could give a positive impact. "Hopefully, the activities carried out yealy by PHE ONWJ in our various work areas can be useful. Especially for nature, residents, and society," Ery hoped.

The Operational Director of MUJ ONWJ, Edi Alpian Chaniago, stated that his party would commit to protecting the coastal area. One of them is through the mangrove tree planting program. "We appreciate the PHE ONWJ management for their initiative and work on Ujung Ori Beach," he said.

Finally, Head of the Patrol District Head, Rusyad Nurdin, advised that the synergy between PHE ONWJ and the community could explore the community's potential following the Regent of Indramayu Hj. Nina Agustina mandate. "Thank you, PHE ONWJ, for giving us motivation. We are proud because this activity was carried out at Ujung Ori Beach.
