Pertamina's MSMEs Achieve Transactions More than 2.4 Billion at Inacraft 2023

Jakarta, March 6, 2023 - Up until the last day of the largest craft product exhibition in Southeast Asia, The Jakarta International Handicraft Trade Fair (Inacraft) 2023, Pertamina's assisted MSMEs have proven their superiority by obtaining transactions of more than IDR 2.4 billion.

"The transaction that was achieved at Inacraft 2023 is the public's form of trust in local products' superiority. I believe after this exhibition ends, sales and cooperation with buyers will continue," said the VP of Corporate Communication of PT Pertamina (Persero), Fadjar Djoko Santoso.

"This achievement was realized because of various parties' support, one of which is the community because of their pride and love for local products by buying and using MSME products. Therefore, giving MSMEs the confidence to continue working to produce quality products," he said.

This year, Pertamina presented 24 selected MSMEs from four categories, including Fashion, Accessories, Beauty and Health, and Craft. This event also presents various attractive programs for buyers, promos in the form of flash sales and discounts, prizes in the form of BBK vouchers, and activities through Instagram gen_umkm and also Mobcast Cinta UMKM by presenting a speaker, Nurhayati Aisah Sam as the owner of KITA BEACHWEAR, as well as the Pertapreneur Aggregator 2022 winner.

This time, wood crafts are the prima donna at the Inacraft 2023. Woodeco Indonesia and Duta Craftindo MSMEs, which produce handicrafts made from wood waste, have won the public's attention, both at home and abroad, and have won the highest transactions at this event. Woodeco Indonesia recorded transactions of up to IDR 394 million, while Duta Craftindo achieved IDR 224 million during the five days of the Inacraft 2023 exhibition.

"Alhamdulillah, several Woodeco products have managed to get orders from foreign countries, including Argentina, Israel, the United States, and Germany. It is beyond expectations!," said Agung Setiawan, the owner of Woodeco Indonesia.

Another craft sector that has managed to steal the attention at Inacraft 2023 is D'ethnic Mutiara Lombok, a pearl craft MSME originating from the Rumah BUMN (RB) Pertamina, East Lombok. Wahyudi, the facilitator of RB Pertamina East Lombok, admitted that after the announcement of Pertamina SMEs participating in Inacraft 2023 on January 29, 2023, he immediately went to the artisans to start preparing products that had to be brought to Jakarta. "This is the first time we have participated in Inacraft, we have no experience starting from market overview, best-selling products, until the purchase rate in it," said Didik, Wahyudi's nickname.

Didik and the owner of D'ethnic Istana Mutiara Lombok, Janual Aidi, tried to maximize the time available to prepare for Inacraft 2023 for the products, markets, and attractive packaging.

"The products we carry are all the latest models with guaranteed quality," added Janual. For about a month, almost every day and night, Didik and Janual supervised and accompanied artisans to maintain the materials' quality to produce superior products that were powerful in Incraft 2023.

For D'etnick, the craftsman's patience and the materials' quality were very important to note. The Inacraft 2023 event is a whip and a ladder to level up. As a result, the products brought have differences from other competitors in the same business field, one of which is handmade with ethnic designs and is only made in limited editions. "There is a certain pride when a pearl jewelry collector only has a design that is not the same as many people in general," said Janual.

The total transactions achieved by D'etnick Istana Mutiara Lombok reached more than IDR 283 million. "D'etnick would like to thank Pertamina profusely for the guidance, sharing, and business clinic during this preparation, cool layouts and printing support," said Didik. Didik and Janual continue to hope that training activities and business practices will be even better. Therefore, D'etnick's products and other assisted MSMEs can become more global.

With the Inacraft 2023 event done, Pertamina hopes to continue presenting its fostered MSMEs through other exhibitions, both inside the country and abroad. Hence, they can make local products to be known better and able to become trendsetters in terms of fashion, craft, food and beverage, beauty, health, and others in foreign countries.

"Through the Inacraft exhibition, it is hoped that MSMEs can develop more and create and take advantage of various opportunities. Thus, they can become agents of change in the business environment and in society," conveyed Fadjar.

The Inacraft 2023 exhibition is a manifestation of Pertamina's consistency in promoting and supporting economic growth following the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) point 8 achievement. Namely, increasing inclusive and sustainable economic growth, productive and comprehensive job opportunities, and decent work for all, as well as implementing ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance)-based programs in all operational areas.**
