Pertamina Volleyball Team Ready to Compete in Proliga 2022

Jakarta, January 7, 2022 - PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Commercial & Trading Sub Holding of PT Pertamina (Persero), together with its subsidiary PT Pertamina Lubricants are back to support the achievements and actions of Indonesian male and female volleyball athletes to compete in the 2022 Proliga event. Different from the previous years, Jakarta Pertamina Energi is now present and competing with new names. Namely, Jakarta Pertamina Fastron (JPF) for the women's team and Jakarta Pertamina Pertamax (JPX) for the men's team.

Both JPF and JPX consist of talented volleyball athletes. The JPX men's team is strengthened by 14 local players and 2 foreign players, and the captain role is entrusted to Jasen Nathanael Kilanta. Meanwhile, the composition for the JPF women's team, which was captained by Agustin Wulandhari, consisted of 15 local players and 2 foreign players.

PTH President Director of PT Pertamina Lubricants Werry Prayogi stated that the support and coaching of JPF and JPX athletes are forms of Pertamina's commitment to the progress and improvement of national sports, especially in the field of volleyball. In welcoming the 2022 Proliga, the preparations of the two teams have also been carried out with high commitment and dedication.

"Even though we are still in the atmosphere of the Covid-19 pandemic, we hope that the JPF and JPX teams will continue to be enthusiastic, practice seriously, fight to the maximum, and of course maintain sportsmanship until they become champions in the 2022 Proliga," said Werry.

In the men's team, JPX was strengthened by Hernanda Zulfi who was a player of the Indonesian National Team who succeeded in bringing Indonesia a gold medal, collaborating with Farhan Halim, Cep Indra, Jasen Natanael, Delly Dwi Heryanto, Muhammad Ridwan who was a West Java player in PON who came out as the champion.

Meanwhile, the JPF women's team squad, such as Novia Andriyanti, Ratri Wulandari, Agustin Wulandhari, and Megawati Hangestri Pertiwi, were Indonesian national team players at the 2019 Sea Games, who managed to give Indonesia a bronze medal.

On the same occasion, the Executive GM of the West Java Regional PT Pertamina Patra Niaga as well as the Chief de Mission (CdM) of JPF and JPX Waljiyanto said the two teams carried the mission of #NyalakanSemangatmu, providing the best energy in the upcoming Proliga matches.

"As part of developing national athletes, we continue to encourage JPF and JPX athletes to ignite their fighting spirit in competing in every Proliga 2022 match. This best energy also radiates from the team name, where we carry the Pertamax and Fastron brands as one of the best energy products that can be enjoyed by the community,” explained Waljiyanto.

Proliga 2022 itself will be held at Padepokan Volleyball General of Police Kunarto, Sentul, Bogor, West Java, 7 January - 27 March 2022. The first match of the JPF and JPX teams will be held on 08-09 January 2022. Meanwhile, Pertamina will host the 2022 Proliga match in the second week, from January 14 to 16, 2022.**
