Pertamina Group receives the Platinum Award, the highest PRIA 2024 appreciation, and 61 communication awards, providing effective communication programs in company campaigns.

Pertamina Receives Highest Appreciation at PR Indonesia Award

Denpasar, March 7, 2024 - Pertamina Group has received 62 communication awards at the Public Relations Indonesia Award (PRIA) event in Bali (7/3). At the 9th PRIA event, PT Pertamina (Persero) received the Platinum Winner, the highest appreciation, in the SEO category.

PRIA, one of the country’s largest public relations (PR) competitions, was organized by PR Indonesia Magazine and involved 699 submissions from around 129 institutions, including corporations (state-owned, regional-owned, and private), ministries, institutions, and local governments throughout Indonesia.

Vice President of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, Fadjar Djoko Santoso, stated that the communication awards received by the Pertamina Group reflect the communication efforts related to various aspects such as operational matters, environment social responsibility, and sustainability efforts undertaken by the Pertamina Group, which are well-received by the public.

"This PRIA appreciation reflects the achievement of corporate/organizational communication performance, where the Pertamina Group successfully convinced the Communication Expert Jury about the company's campaigns," he explained.

Awards were received in various categories, including the PR Department Category, Annual Report, Sustainability Report, PR Program Category, Owned Media Category, Digital Channel Category, Most Popular Category in Print and Online Media, and CSR Program Category. Pertamina also successfully achieved the PR Campaign Of The Year for the Kuliah Merdeka 2.0 program conducted by the Pertamina International Refinery Unit III Plaju.

In the Kuliah Merdeka 2.0 program, the Pertamina Plaju Refinery Unit campaigned for carbon emission reduction and energy transition as efforts to achieve Net Zero Emission (NZE) among hundreds of students from various campuses in Palembang, South Sumatra.

Through this program, hundreds of students committed to taking real action to address climate change, including conservation and energy efficiency in their respective environments.

Another appreciated program is Pertamina Talks, a regular talk show for internalizing company messages or campaigns for Pertamina Group employees, published for the public through digital platforms.

Discussions were conducted warmly and informatively, involving internal and external speakers.

"The Pertamina Talks program is designed as a response from Pertamina that Officer’s involvement plays a key role in improving productivity and performance in the Pertamina work environment, to create a positive bond between employees and the company," Fadjar said.

He added that Pertamina Talks increased employee engagement and raised public awareness about energy issues and Pertamina's business developments.

Fadjar hopes the PRIA award will increase Pertamina's motivation to run the business sustainably and communicate effectively. "So that the public receives accurate information about Pertamina's business," Fadjar explained.
