Palembang, August 24, 2022 - Pertamina Patra Niaga Sumbagsel Region continues to ensure smooth energy distribution for people in the South Sumatera Region amid increasing demand, considering that community mobility continues to increase and has also started to return to normal after the Covid-19 pandemic.

Area Manager Communication, Relations, & CSR for Pertamina Sumbagsel Region, Tjahyo Nikho Indrawan said, "We recorded that for the South Sumatera region, subsidized Bio-Solar fuel consumption has touched 21%, higher than the projected Bio-Solar Subsidized Fuel quota for mid-August 2022. With 1,903 KL per day average daily consumption.”

Meanwhile, Pertalite products have reached about 23%, higher than the projected Pertalite fuel quota for mid-August 2022. With 2,441 KL per day average daily consumption.

"Pertamina continues to educate and outreach to the public so that the subsidized fuel distribution can be right on target. We continue to strive to keep distribution running smoothly by increasing the Fuel Terminal operating hours to anticipate surges in consumption and optimizing tank truck crews to be more effective," explained Nikho.

Pertamina Patra Niaga is committed to carrying out the mandate of the Government's assignment in distributing subsidized fuel. As it is known, subsidized diesel fuel follows Presidential Regulation no. 191 of 2014. Users entitled to subsidized diesel for transportation sector include black-plated vehicles to transport people or goods, public services vehicles (ambulances, firefighters, garbage collectors), and yellow-plated vehicles. Vehicles that are categorized as entitled to subsidized diesel need to show a verification letter and recommendation from the relevant SKPD.

BPH Migas has also regulated the maximum purchase of subsidized diesel fuel per vehicle per day. As for land transportation, private vehicles with black plates are 60 liters per day, public transportation for people or goods with 4 wheels is 80 liters per day, while public transport for 6 wheels or more is 200 liters per day.

"We hope people can buy fuel wisely, according to their needs, and do not have to worry. We continue to do fuel distribution every day," continued Nikho.

Furthermore, Pertamina encourages the public to use fuel that follows the vehicle's specifications. Thus, subsidized fuel can be accepted by the people who have the right and is not used by hoarders and irresponsible individuals.

Pertamina Patra Niaga Sumbagsel Region has also coordinated with Law Enforcement Officials regarding thuggery acts by irresponsible individuals, forcing operators to refill subsidized fuel repeatedly. "We appreciate the Police, in which, at this time the petrol station in the Pali area has been guarded by the Talang Ubi Sector Police so that similar incidents will not happen again and the subsidized fuel distribution can be accepted by the people who are entitled to it," Nikho continued.

For more capable people, Pertamina provides various quality fuels according to vehicle specifications, such as Pertamax, Pertamax Turbo, Pertamina Dex, and Dexlite,

Pertamina also continues to remind the public that the registration for the Precise Subsidy Program is still open. People can register from home, online at the website, or by downloading the MyPertamina application and then registering through one of the features in the application. In addition, to make registration easier for people who do not have mobile phones, they can come to the registration booth provided at Pertamina petrol stations. Some officers will help people register directly.

"We also invite all relevant stakeholders, as well as media partners, to participate in providing information and helping educate the public regarding the enormous fuel subsidy burden currently given to the state.
