Pertamina Patra Niaga Ensures Energy Supply & Availability during the Bali G20 Agenda

Bali, November 11, 2022 – Ahead of the G20 main agenda on 15-16 November, Pertamina Patra Niaga, Subholding Commercial & Trading PT Pertamina (Persero), is preparing to ensure that energy services and supply in Bali are safe.

"First is to ensure that all supply points, namely the BBM Terminal, LPG Terminal, and Aircraft Filling Depot (DPPU), are in optimal condition. Second, ensuring that the stock at supply points and distribution agencies such as gas stations, LPG outlets, fishing gas stations, and aircraft filling is sufficient. Third, preparing Green Energy Station (GES) that offers Charging Station and Battery Swapping Station services, as well as several environmentally friendly fuels for the delegates and the public," explained President Director of Pertamina Patra Niaga Alfian Nasution.

Avtur Service

As an international event, Avtur is one of the priority services. Pertamina Patra , in the G20 agenda will also serve aviation fuel for general passenger aircraft and representative aircraft for delegates from G20 countries. During the G20, Avtur consumption at Ngurah Rai Airport, Bali, is estimated to increase by around 3%. On November 17 or on the return trip, it is anticipated to reach its peak, with consumption rising by an estimated 25% from the average.

"To ensure Avtur sufficiency, we will add tankers and prioritize docking and unloading for Avtur products. Arrangements for workers and adding refueling trucks will also be carried out. Pertamina Patra Niaga will also coordinate closely with airlines, Angkasa Pura, TNI, POLRI, and Airnav to ensure the service process runs smoothly," Alfian said.

In addition, Pertamina Patra Niaga will prepare Pertamina facilities for Avtur services at several buffer airports around Bali, including Juanda in Surabaya, Abdurahman Saleh in Malang, Blimbingsari in Banyuwangi, Praya in Lombok, and Komodo Airport. "All Pertamina facilities at this supporting airport will operate for 24 hours during the G20," he added.

Fuel & LPG Service

The fuel and LPG needs during the G20 are also a priority service. In Bali, Pertamina Patra Niaga will alert all distribution agencies, including 205 regular gas stations, 133 Pertashops, four fisher's petrol stations, three compact gas stations, and two SPBU Satu Harga distribution agencies. Similarly, with LPG, 18 LPG Bulk Filling and Transport Stations (SPPBE), 102 subsidized LPG agents, and 22 non-subsidized LPG agents are ready to serve the LPG needs for the community, restaurants, and hotels.

"There will be a lot of mobilization and energy needs in Bali throughout the G20 event. To meet all of the demand for fuel and LPG, Pertamina Patra Niaga continues to increase its inventories . We continue to ensure that all of our fuel and LPG products are ready because the present weather must also be taken into account," said Alfian.

Green Energy Station & EV Ecosystem Service

The G20 event is strict with environmentally friendly energy use. Pertamina Patra Niaga also supports this, with GES, an environmentally friendly gas station supported by the PV Solar System for its operation, providing environmentally friendly fuel products, as well as services for electric vehicles.

Currently, at least 57 GES gas stations are being prepared to operate in Denpasar City, Badung Regency, Jembrana Regency, Gianyar Regency, and Buleleng Regency. "In addition to operations that are more environmentally friendly with the PV Solar System, GES will also serve with Pertamina's superior environmentally friendly products, such as the Pertamax Series and Dex Series," he added.

Not to forget, the EV Ecosystem is also prepared by Pertamina Patra Niaga. Three Charging Stations for electric cars and buses and seven Battery Swapping Stations for electric motorcycles  are ready to be used for charging electric vehicles in Bali.

“This is Pertamina Patra Niaga's commitment to preparing the EV ecosystem infrastructure, especially on the downstream side. In the G20, Pertamina's charging station will be used to charge electric buses used by the delegation's representative team. Pertamina Patra Niaga will ensure that all EV Ecosystem facilities can operate optimally to be part of the success of the G20 event," Alfian said.**
