Pertamina MOR VIII Ensures Availability of Sufficient Fuel

Jayapura, April 2, 2022 - Pertamina MOR VIII ensures there is no accumulation of vehicles at petrol stations in Maluku and Papua, following the increase of Pertamax fuel price yesterday morning at 00.00 WIT, Friday (1/4/2022).

Markus, a Honda CBR motor vehicle user, admitted that he was not surprised by the increase in Pertamax prices. Moreover, he has followed information on the Pertamax price increase planned by the government.

He admitted that he still uses Pertamax fuel for his vehicle to ensure the condition maintenance of his motorcycle engine.

"Using Pertamax is more economical, and the engine condition does not break down quickly. I think this price increase is still affordable,” he said.

Meanwhile, Unit Manager Communication, Relations, & CSR for Papua Maluku Region of PT Pertamina Sub Holding Commercial & Trading, Edi Mangun, explained that a few days before the Pertamax price increase, fuel availability at all Maluku and Papua petrol stations were increased.

However, on March 31, 2022, there was an increase in Pertamax sales, following information on the price increase as of April 1, 2022.

“Fuel stocks are stable, including Pertamax, Subsidized Solar, and Pertalite. Customers who will fill their vehicles with Pertamax are going to be served well," explained Edi.

Pertamina MOR VIII ensures that the availability of fuel in Maluku Papua can last up to eight days.

"People do not need to worry. The Maluku Papua fuel stock is sufficient, lasting up to the next eight days. We also ensure that there is no shortage of supplies to petrol stations," he explained.

With the new Pertamax price, Pertamina hopes that people will continue to choose higher quality Non-Subsidized Fuel.
