Pertamina Logistics and Infrastructure Director Inspects SPBU and Medan Group FT

Medan, April 2, 2022 - Director of Logistics and Infrastructure of PT Pertamina, Mulyono, conducted a surprise inspection (sidak) of several General Fuel Filling Stations (SPBU) and Medan Group Fuel Terminal (FT) on Saturday (2/4/2022). It was done to ensure fuel readiness and availability in the field directly ahead of Ramadan.

"Our visit to several petrol stations and Medan Group FT is to ensure fuel readiness and availability in the field directly ahead of Ramadan," said Mulyono.

He explained that his party would prepare more services in anticipation of increased homecoming traffic and fuel demand. It includes standby petrol stations, standby tank trucks, motorists, pocket petrol stations, and rest areas equipped with health facilities for travelers at several points along the homecoming route.

"We have also formed a special task force for Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr (RAFI Task Force) to ensure the smooth supply and distribution of fuel and LPG to the community," he said.

The RAFI Task Force team will be on duty from April 11 to May 10, 2022. The RAFI Task Force team will coordinate with relevant agencies such as the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), the Ministry of Transportation, the Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas), TNI, and the Police.

Moreover, Mulyono said that his party continues to ensure that the subsidized Solar stock is sufficient. As of March 30, 2022, the subsidized Solar stock lasts for more than 20 days. Pertamina continues to maintain the supply and distribution of subsidized Solar to the public. Even though the subsidized Solar quota as of February 2022 has exceeded the quota by up to 10 percent nationally.

Pertamina also keeps a record of the purchase of subsidized diesel at petrol stations as a form of supervision and implementation of regulations regarding the maximum filling of each vehicle type to minimize the not on target subsidized diesel distribution.

"If the public finds any abuse in the subsidized fuel distribution, they should immediately report it to the authorities. Trucks with more than six wheels, oil palm trucks, and coal trucks are prohibited from using subsidized diesel," he added.

In addition to the Medan Group FT, this inspection was also carried out at 14 petrol stations in Medan City and Deli Serdang Regency. Some of these petrol stations include 14.204.129 Belawan SPBU, 14.204.120 Belawan SPBU, 11.201.101 Yos Sudarso Street SPBU, 14.202.1162 Sisingamangaraja Street SPBU, and others.

On this occasion, Mulyono greeted and appreciated the petrol station operators who served as the front line in providing Pertamina fuel services to the public.

"These petrol station operators deserve an appreciation. They have worked wholeheartedly to serve consumers," he said.

Not only in North Sumatera, but this inspection was also carried out simultaneously in several other areas, namely Southern Sumatera, Kalimantan, and Sulawesi.

Mulyono appealed to people who can afford to use non-subsidized fuel. Thus, other people who are more entitled can enjoy subsidized fuel from the government.

"To the entire community, especially Muslims, we wish you a happy Ramadan while maintaining health protocols to welcome Eid Al-Fitr 1443 Hijri, apology inwardly and outwardly," he said.
