Delivering material entitled "Building a Sustainable Future: Pertamina's Contribution to Indonesia," the President Director of Pertamina, Nicke Widyawati, explained Pertamina's strategic role as a national energy company in realizing Indonesia's clean energy transition.

Nicke explained that in recent years, Pertamina had improved its sustainability performance. From an environmental standpoint, in 2022, Pertamina had reduced emissions by 31.06% by carrying out various decarbonization programs in all its units and affiliates. The energy transition is also carried out by revitalizing refineries and the petrochemical business, encouraging natural gas usage as a transitional energy, and expanding the green energy portfolio.

Nicke invites students, as future leaders, to play an active role in sustainability and energy. Therefore, they can contribute to the energy transition and achieve Net Zero Emissions.

"On this occasion, students can learn about Indonesia's natural resources potential and how Indonesia plays a significant role in the world's energy transition. Therefore, we must maximize domestic resources to maintain Indonesia's energy security," said Nicke.

Chief Editor of Harian Kompas, Sutta Dharmasaputra, delivered material on processing information to make it more valuable. Information is principal to build a good understanding of an issue. The media is obliged to present quality information in an increasingly complex era.

"This seminar gives the Udayana academic community the ability to consume better information. It is an extraordinary contribution to digital literacy in Indonesia," said Sutta.
