President Director of PT Pertamina New & Renewable Energy (Pertamina NRE), Dannif Danusaputro, stated that the collaborations to be established through these MoUs are for technology development, business development, and renewable energy application. These collaborations are in the form of projects or long-term partnerships preceded by preliminary studies.

"This is to accelerate the renewable energy acceleration or Pertamina's new business potential. One of the pillars for decarbonization in Pertamina's NZE roadmap is how we can create new businesses based on renewable energy," explained Dannif at the EBTKE ConEx event.

Similarly, Julfi Hadi, the President Director of PGE, stated that today’s MoU signing aims to increase PGE's capacity from the current 700 megawatts to reach one gigawatt. The MoUs also make PGE's projects more commercially viable, particularly in terms of derivative products such as Hydrogen. Furthermore, this MoU will also develop technology utilization that could make operational activities more efficient.

"Insya Allah, within two years, PGE's target is to transform the company into a one-gigawatt company. We have signed with partners to advance quickly and improve geothermal’s commercial aspects," expressed Julfi.

VP of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, Fadjar Djoko Santoso, stated that collaborations with various strategic partners in the NRE business development follow the Net Zero Emission (NZE) target for 2060 and the energy transition initiated by the Indonesian Government.

"Pertamina will continue to strive towards achieving the NZE 2060 target and energy transition. We cannot do it alone; collaboration with various parties is needed, including strategic partnerships that we are building today," said Fadjar.

Pertamina, as a leading company in the energy transition, is committed to supporting the Net Zero Emission 2060 target by continuously promoting programs that directly impact the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) achievement. All these efforts align with Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) implementation across all Pertamina's business lines and operations.**
