GIIAS 2023: Pertamina - Lamborghini Strengthen Partnership until 2025
Jakarta, August 12, 2023 - Pertamina continues to strengthen its collaboration with Lamborghini Squadra Corse, the supercar racing division of Lamborghini. This partnership ensures that Pertamina's Fastron lubricants will remain the Official Technical Partner for Lamborghini Squadra Corse's supercar racing division until 2025.
President Director of Pertamina, Nicke Widyawati, stated that Pertamina has become a significant player, especially in the international automotive competition arena.
"This global collaboration provides strategic added value in terms of alliances, innovation, and marketing, which can enhance the performance of Pertamina's products," Nicke said.
At the GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) held at ICE BSD on Saturday, August 12, 2023, Lamborghini Squadra Corse presented the Lamborghini Essenza SCV12 - a limited edition hypercar developed by Lamborghini Squadra Corse - for the first time in Indonesia, at Pertamina's booth.
Nicke added that this collaboration also proves that Pertamina's products are increasingly recognized worldwide, as demonstrated by Pertamina's recent achievement of ranking 141 in the Fortune Global 500 and being the only Indonesian company among 500 other world-class companies.
The partnership originated from Lamborghini Squadra Corse's challenge in finding oil for the Super Trofeo race outside Europe and America in 2014, particularly in Asia, one of its main markets.
In response to this challenge, in 2015, Pertamina, through Pertamina Lubricants, an oil producer familiar with Asia's climate conditions, collaborated with Lamborghini Squadra Corse to develop the new Fastron Platinum Racing 10W-60 oil, a specially formulated oil that underwent technical testing and road tests for use in the Super Trofeo race.
With comprehensive research and rigorous testing in world-standard laboratories and various conditions, Pertamina Lubricants proved that Pertamina Fastron, a world-class oil of Indonesian pride, can be used by Lamborghini.
