Committed to Evaluate Non-Subsidized Fuel Prices Periodically, Pertamina Adjusts Pertamax and Dex Series Prices

Jakarta, October 1, 2022 - Pertamina Patra Niaga, Subholding Commercial & Trading of PT Pertamina (Persero) once again adjusted the selling price of general fuel types (JBU) or non-subsidized fuel, namely Pertamax, Pertamax Turbo, Dexlite, and Perta Dex.

Corporate Secretary of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Irto Ginting, stated that the price of non-subsidized fuel would continue to be adjusted following the average price of oil publications trend, namely the Mean of Platts Singapore (MOPS) or Argus.

"We will continue to conduct evaluations and price adjustments for non-subsidized fuel monthly. Based on calculations, in the last September period for Gasoline (petrol) products, namely the Pertamax Series, the price was adjusted down, while for Gasoil (diesel) Dexlite and Perta Dex products was increased. All price adjustments valid from October 1," explained Irto.

For Pertamax Turbo (RON 98), there is a price adjustment to IDR 14,950 and for Pertamax (RON 92) to IDR 13,900. As for Dexlite (CN 51) there is a price adjustment to IDR 17,800, and for Perta Dex (CN 53), the price is IDR 18,100 per liter. This price applies to provinces with a motor vehicle fuel tax (PBBKB) of 5%, such as in the DKI Jakarta area.

“All of these new prices follow the pricing stipulated in the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Decree No. 62/K/12/MEM/2020 regarding the formulation of JBU prices or non-subsidized fuel. Pertamina continues to be committed to providing products with guaranteed quality at competitive prices throughout Indonesia," continued Irto.

Regarding the difference in price adjustments for Pertamax Series and Dex Series products, Irto explained that this was caused by global energy conditions, one of which was geopolitics in Eastern Europe. This condition causes high demand for gas fuel products worldwide, and one of the substitutes for gas fuel products is diesel fuel, whose price refers to MOPS Kerosene.

“MOPS Kerosene is a price reference for diesel raw materials. High demand and limited raw materials keep prices high, even though world oil prices trend are decreasing," he said.
