Cheating Petrol Stations, Pertamina Gives Sanctions of Up to 6 Months

24 June 2022 - PT Pertamina (Persero), through the West Java Regional Subholding Pertamina Patra Niaga, imposed a 6-month petrol station closure sanction for the Public Fuel Filling Station (SPBU) 3442117 Gorda in Kibin, Serang Regency who committed fraud by modifying the dispenser machine.

The sanction was given because there were activities in the fuel sale by modifying the dispenser machine using a remote control device. The fuel sale types of Pertalite, Pertamax, Pertamina Dex, Dexlite, and Solar are carried out by petrol station officers by setting the dispenser machine, which has been modified by using a remote control device.

Area Manager of Communication, Relations & CSR for the West Java Region, Eko Kristiawan, said that he would not tolerate any petrol station personnel committing fraudulent acts like this, setting the dose with this remote control mod is very detrimental to the community. Therefore, the other party is imposed harsh sanctions of closing petrol stations for six months.

"We appreciate and fully support the Banten Police team who have taken action against this incident. Thus, the fuel, especially subsidies, can be distributed properly to the people entitled to it," said Eko.

The steps taken by the police as the party authorized to take action against the perpetrators of this fraud have been appropriate, and Pertamina Patra Niaga as the operator assigned by the state to distribute subsidized fuel, supports the police's efforts in guarding and supervising subsidized fuel distribution.

The nearest petrol stations from the 3442117 Gorda Kibin petrol station are 3442120 petrol stations, about 4.5km away and 3442102 petrol stations, about 5km away.

Pertamina always urges the community to oversee and supervise subsidized fuel distribution together, and if they find indications of fraud, they can report it to the police and Pertamina Call Center 135.**
