Bringing Energy to Remote Areas, Pertamina Patra Niaga Continues to Add One Price Fuel Point

Jakarta, June 1, 2022 - PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Commercial & Trading Pertamina Sub Holding, as a business assigned to carry out the One Price Fuel Oil program, noted that in the third week of March 2022, there were 328 distribution institutions spread throughout Indonesia.

63 One Price Fuel distribution agencies are distributed in Papua, 56 points in East Nusa Tenggara and West Nusa Tenggara, 48 points in Maluku, 32 points in Sulawesi, 71 points in Kalimantan, 53 points in Sumatra, and 5 in the islands of Java and Bali.

Since 2017, the One Price Fuel policy implementation focused on the foremost, outermost, and disadvantaged (3T) area. Previously, the 3T area was unreachable for energy access. Thus, to reach the 3T area, Pertamina Patra Niaga distributes it through land, sea, and air transportation modes in collaboration with various parties.

“The increasing number of One Price Fuel distribution agencies is Pertamina Patra Niaga's commitment to realize energy justice for the people of Indonesia. We will ensure the distribution and availability of fuel supplies to the One Price Fuel petrol stations (Public Fuel Filling Stations – red) runs smoothly, on time, in the right quantity, and with the right quality. So that people can get access to fuel at an affordable price as well encourage the economy in the 3T area," explained the President Director of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Alfian Nasution.

However, Alfian said, in carrying out the assignment mandate from the government through the Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas), Pertamina Patra Niaga faced challenges in distributing fuel to the 3T area.

“The One Price Fuel is distributed between islands throughout Indonesia. To reach the 3T area, facing difficult terrains such as mountains and rivers is common. Therefore, the process went through several transportation modes change, such as tankers on land, ships, and airplanes. In addition, the team needed to fight against the weather conditions and high rainfall. Even with these challenges, we are committed to carrying out this mandate," Alfian said.

Pertamina is also cooperating with partners interested in opening One-Price Fuel petrol stations to advance Indonesia through energy distribution to remote areas of the country in predetermined locations.
