Attended by 20 Thousand Visitors, President Director of Pertamina Opens Pertamina Eco RunFest 2023

Jakarta, November 26, 2023 - President Director of PT Pertamina (Persero), Nicke Widyawati, opened the Pertamina Eco RunFest 2023 event at Istora Senayan Jakarta on Sunday, November 26, 2023.

The annual event, in celebration of Pertamina’s 66th anniversary on December 10, 2023, was officially opened by releasing 10 thousand participants from various running enthusiasts.

Participants competed in four categories: 1.5k (family run), 5k (fun run), 10k (students, general, and master), and a half marathon 21k.

The highest number of participants was in the 5k category, with 6,000 participants, followed by the 10k category, with 2,205 participants, the 1.5k category, with 1,350 participants and the half marathon category, with 445 participants, including general and master participants.

President Director of Pertamina, Nicke Widyawati, accompanied by the Pertamina Board of Directors and Subholding, personally flagged off the 10k category runners at 6:00 AM, followed by the 5k category at 6:15 AM.

"As we count together, one, two, three," said Nicke Widyawati while waving the start flag.

Nicke further explained that Pertamina Eco RunFest 2023 promotes a sustainable lifestyle and environmental awareness. The event aims to be an education platform for all generations.

"We organize this event not only to encourage people to maintain their health through running but also for all generations, from those running 21 km to family participants in the 1.5 km run. In this event, we also provide education about sustainable living. So, we are educating everyone, from young children to all parents, to be more aware of the environment," expressed Nicke.

Throughout Pertamina Eco RunFest 2023, Pertamina provided eight ambulances, 18 doctors, and 50 nurses. Along the route, Pertamina also set up water stations for participants to refill their water bottles.

In the main area, various facilities were available, including a charging station, kids' playground, games area, lounge area, official merchandise store, photo box, and a nursery room.
