Appreciating the Right Targeted Subsidy Program, Manado Organda: Angkot Drivers Get Protection for Subsidy Rights Recipients

Jakarta, July 5, 2022 – Pertamina's targeted subsidy program continues to be well received and supported by various societal elements in Indonesia. This good response can be seen from the massive number of people who have registered their vehicles as subsidized fuel users through the website, application, and registration at Pertamina petrol stations.

Support from various circles has also flowed for Pertamina to continue this program, including the Chairperson of the Manado Organda DPC, Khazali. If previously there were doubts that people such as angkot drivers would have problems registering, he said this was the answer to his complaints so far.

“So far, angkot drivers have run out of time to queue for fuel because luxury cars enjoy subsidized fuel. We, the drivers of this angkot, are obliged to get subsidized fuel. We will not let luxury cars consume our share," he said excitedly.

Khazali continued that after receiving socialization regarding this targeted subsidy, it turned out that there were conveniences. As a result, the appropriate vehicle received the subsidies. Organda members have also been asked to participate in this socialization by registering, and Organda will participate in the gradual socialization to the members.

Another support came from the Mayor of Manado, Andrei Angouw. He said it was an honor for Manado to be one of the first implementation locations of this right subsidy program.

"We value this program as being able to help consumers control their fuel consumption, change their behavior to be economical, and contribute taxes to the region later on," said Andrei.

Corporate Secretary of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Irto Ginting, expressed his gratitude for the kind welcome given by various parties and the Indonesian people who have supported and gave concrete actions by registering to this right subsidy system.

"According to our data, from July 1 to today, the total registrants who have registered their vehicles on the subsiditepat.mypertamina.id website has reached more than 50 thousand throughout Indonesia, and the Manado people have contributed to this amount," explained Irto.

“Registration is still open for consumers throughout Indonesia who want to register their vehicle as a subsidized fuel recipient. Apart from the subsiditepat.mypertamina.id website or the MyPertamina application, the public can directly visit registration booths at several petrol stations. Thus, Pertamina has provided various conveniences for consumers," added Irto.

Enthusiasm can also be seen in the increasing number of MyPertamina application users, which recorded a 4 million increase in 4 days. Thus, currently, MyPertamina users are recorded at more than 28 million from various regions in Indonesia.
