Enliven Kampar Expo 2023, PHR Educates Student with KKKS and SKK Migas

Kampar, February 27, 2023 - PT Pertamina Hulu Rokan (PHR) with the Cooperation Contract Contractors (KKKS) and SKK Migas took part in enlivening the Kampar Expo 2023 in Bangkinang, Kampar, Riau. The event, held to celebrate the 73rd anniversary of Kampar Regency, will take place from February 23 to 28, 2023.

The Kampar Expo 2023 activity was opened by the Acting Regent of Kampar, Kamsol, Friday evening (24/2). The Kampar Expo opening was lively, with cultural arts performances and entertainment stages.

SKK Migas, PHR, and KKKS also presented an exhibition stand centered on Merdeka Square, Bangkinang. During the activity, PHR and KKKS are scheduled to provide education and information to High School/SMK and Madrasah students regarding upstream oil and gas operations in Kampar.

The six KKKS involved in Kampar Expo 2023 are PHR, EMP Bentu, BSP, PHE Siak, SPR Langgak, and Texcal Mahato.

Students who attend the KKKS stand can participate in presentations on oil and gas exploration and exploitation presented by professional sources in the petroleum sector. Students are expected to understand upstream oil and gas activities' importance for Indonesia's energy security.

On Tuesday, February 28, 2023, the PHR Team is scheduled to provide material on petroleum geology to students.

Students were also given an understanding of occupational health and safety (K3) importance.

Through a massive aggressive work program, PHR continues to increase production. In December 2022, PHR received two awards from the Indonesian World Record Museum (MURI) for the most achievements in drilling and well services in one year.

"In addition to increasing production, PHR also focuses on managing social and environmental responsibility programs in the education, health, community economy, and environment fields. There are 30 community empowerment programs, 21 implementing partners, and won eleven local, national, and international awards," said Rudi.

For the Kampar area, PHR has contributed to supporting the Government's program to prevent stunting. PHR's collaboration with the Kampar Regency Government in reducing stunting has received high appreciation from President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, because it was considered successful in reducing the stunting rate from 27 to 8 percent.

PHR helped foster the Koto Masjid Village community in developing catfish cultivation. The village, nicknamed the Patin Village, won second place as the best National Tourism Village and received a sustainable Tourism Village certificate in 2022.

PHR also has an Independent Energy Village program for 400 Kampar people. In this program, PHR assists the community independently in utilizing biogas waste to become organic fertilizer.

The PHR, KKKS, and SKK Migas stands were welcomed enthusiastically by the public. Visitors flocked to the stands to increase the oil and gas industry understanding. PHR and KKKS also involve their fostered MSMEs to display superior products in the form of food and handicrafts.**
