Currently there are 8 Pertamina oil tank truck stuck in the traffic jam near Simpang Rimbo, Jambi. The traffic jam, which takes place around the Kota Jambi city border, is caused by demonstration by coal-carrying truck drivers, who have poured their coal loads onto road.
"There are around 8 Pertamina oil tank truck in the traffic jam," Vice President Corporate Communication of Pertamina Mochamad Harun said.
To overcome the problem, Pertamina coordinates with local authority and police to escort Pertamina oil tank trucks. Furthermore, if the situation continues, Pertamina is ready to divert its fuel stock from Kertapati, Palembang, that takes 9-hour journey.
"Efforts and anticipation steps have been taken to safeguard fuel stock during the National Press Day celebration that takes place in Jambi City," he explained.
