Lhokseumawe - Dozens of Pertamina Workers are spreading positive spirit for elementary school student in 5 Elementary Schools including SDN Arun, SDN 1 Muara Satu, SDN 2 Muara Satu, SDN 4 Muara Satu and Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 2 Muara Satu which spread in Lhokseumawe, Aceh. For one day, the workers take the time to participate in the elementary school education in the country through an interesting and enjoyable sharing activity.
This teaching activity is the second year which packaged through Pertamina Energi Negeri program, involving 562 teaching volunteers who are workers from Pertamina Headquarters Jakarta, Operations Unit and Subsidiaries from various levels of office. They will teach for 2 batch, namely on April 17 in Aceh and May 8, 2017 in 9 locations namely Palembang, Jakarta, Indramayu, Surabaya, Semarang, Balikpapan, Makassar, Jayapura, and Sorong
Vice President of Corporate Communication of PT Pertamina (Persero) Adiatma Sardjito stated that Pertamina Energi Negeri program becomes the annual agenda of Pertamina's workers as a direct contribution to the community to share knowledge, to know the profession, to cultivate the character and safety culture presented in interesting and fun way. "These programs are corporate campaigns that we feel are good to be shared to the next generation of the nation to be a Honest, Sincere and Trusted generation in the future," said Adiatma.
In addition, the children are also taught to know the various professions within Pertamina, so that they can get a broader horizons of the profession described through interactive and participatory activities with them.
The targeted schools are those located in the vicinity of Pertamina's work area, and are focused on schools with pre-prosperous economic backgrounds, or schools with under the National Standard School (SSN) categories.
Pertamina Energi Negeri is an invitation to every worker of Pertamina and its subsidiaries to make a direct contact with the education world as a form of participation for the education in Indonesia and also foster a love for Indonesia. This voluntary activity was initiated purely by Pertamina workers. The program was first implemented in 10 elementary schools in the Jakarta area on February 22, 2016 and February 29 2016, with a total of 129 Pertamina workers as teachers and documentation volunteer that inspired 3,528 students. "This activity is purely as a form of Pertamina workers' concern on developing behavioral aspects and actions of children on primary education age, at once doing useful activities after their working hours," Adiatma concluded.
