Reviving the Spirit of Togetherness in Ramadan, Pertamina and Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises Provide 1,000 Affordable Basic Food Packages in Kampar

Kampar, April 3, 2024 - With the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises, Pertamina organized the "Safari Ramadan BUMN 2024", in the Bangkinang Riverside area, Kampar, Riau, on Tuesday, April 2, 2024. This activity was held to provide benefits and blessings in the Holy Month of Ramadan for the surrounding community in the spirit of togetherness.

A total of 1,000 affordable basic food packages were distributed to the people of Kampar. The food packages, sold at IDR 75,000 each, consisted of 5 kg of rice, one liter of oil, and one kg of sugar. This activity was welcomed enthusiastically by the residents because this cheap food package bazaar provided an opportunity to obtain essential needs at affordable prices during Ramadan.

Vice President of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, Fadjar Djoko Santoso, explained that during this Holy Month of Ramadan, the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises entrusted all SOEs, including Pertamina, to carry out the "Safari Ramadan BUMN 2024" program.

"In this Ramadan Safari activity in Kampar, with the support of Pertamina Hulu Rokan, the sale of 1,000 affordable basic food packages to the community was conducted to alleviate people’s needs. In addition, on this occasion, an MSME Bazaar was also held as SOE support for the community's economic improvement," explained Fadjar.

Acting Regent of Kampar, Hambali, welcomed and appreciated this program’s implementation in Kampar with a cheap food packages market and MSME bazaar.

"The Kampar Regency Government and the people welcome this event with the Cheap Market. This can be seen from the enthusiasm of the residents willing to queue to buy basic food packages at lower prices," said Hambali.

In addition to being attended by the Regent of Kampar, the "Safari Ramadan BUMN 2024" event was also attended by Assistant for Economic and Development Affairs Suhermi, CSR Manager of Pertamina Dian Hapsari Firasati, ECSR Manager of South WK Pertamina Hulu Rokan Wan Dedi Yudhistira, Head of the Department of Industry, Trade, Cooperatives, and MSMEs of Kampar Regency Dendi Zulhairi, Acting Head of Economic Affairs Purwoko, and District Head of Bankinang Kota Minda.

During the "Safari Ramadan BUMN 2024" event, a Joint Prayer activity and Aid Distribution to the students of Muhammadiyah Bangkinang Islamic Boarding School were also conducted, as well as the handover of 100 Qurans to the Ad Da'wah Al Islahiyah Quran Memorization Foundation.

"It is hoped that this activity can help the community and more people pray for Pertamina so that it can carry out its operational activities well and smoothly and continue to provide the greatest possible benefits to the entire community, especially in the Kampar region," concluded Fadjar.
