Post-Tuban Earthquake, Pertamina Ensures Energy Supply Remains Normal

Tuban, March 22, 2024 – Following the 5.3 - 6.5 magnitude earthquake in the North Java Sea waters of Tuban Regency, Pertamina ensures that fuel and LPG supply up to the time of this release is still in normal condition. All fuel and LPG distribution agencies in Tuban and the North Coast of East Java are still operating normally.

Area Manager of Comm, Rel & CSR of Pertamina Patra Niaga Jatimbalinus, Ahad Rahedi, stated that all fuel and LPG distribution agencies up to the agent level serve normally. "We have conducted checks on all our facilities along the northern coast. Starting from the Tuban Fuel Terminal, Integrated Surabaya Terminal, MEM Gresik LPG Depot, and all frontline petrol stations and agents serving the community are in a safe condition," said Ahad.

In the Tuban Regency itself, there are several Pertamina Patra Niaga facilities including one fuel terminal, 31 petrol stations, 2 fishers’ petrol stations, 4 LPG filling stations, 1 cylinder maintenance center, and 30 LPG agents. "10 petrol stations and Pertashops located in the Tuban North Coast area are also safe. There are no disruptions to fuel and LPG supplies, everything is still running normally," added Ahad.

Nevertheless, the public should not be influenced by hoax news and continue to access official information regarding Pertamina services through the 135 Call Center, social media @pertamina @pertaminapatraniaga, and @patraniaga.jatimbalinus. "We urge the public not to excessively purchase fuel or LPG. We continue to monitor the current situation and coordinate with relevant parties," concluded Ahad.

The Vice President of Corporate Communication of Pertamina, Fadjar Djoko Santoso, revealed that Pertamina continues to monitor its operations as well as the safety and reliability aspects of its facilities, both in East Java and other regions of Indonesia.
