The two award categories achieved by Pertamina are the Most Innovative Partner Category and the Partner with the Highest Funding Commitment Category. These awards are an appreciation of the Research and Technology activities within the Pertamina Group, where Pertamina is consistently active in platforms provided by the Government, be it from Kemendikbudristek (Kedaireka), the Ministry of Finance (LPDP) and the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (KeRis BUMN).

"The innovation ecosystem formed becomes Pertamina's commitment to building Pentahelix synergy alongside the government, academia, businesses, society, and the media," stated Oki Muraza, Senior Vice President of Research and Technology Innovation of PT Pertamina (Persero), who represented the company in receiving the awards.

Oki added that in 2023, through the Matching Fund program under Kedaireka, funding amounting to IDR 7.54 billion was provided for several RTI (Research, Technology, and Innovation) activities in collaboration with UI, UGM, ITB, ITS, and UAD. These activities focused on various topics such as bioplastics, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), batteries, macro/microalgae, and specialty chemicals.

Fadjar Djoko Santoso, the Vice President of Corporate Communication of PT Pertamina (Persero), stated that this recognition will further drive Pertamina's officers’ spirit to continue innovating for the nation.

"Hopefully, the innovations initiated by the Pertamina Group can support and strengthen the national energy resilience while promoting sustainability, increasing Domestic Component Level (TKDN), and providing a multiplier effect for the community's economy," said Fadjar.

Pertamina, as a leading company in the energy transition, is committed to supporting the Net Zero Emission 2060 target by continuously promoting programs that directly impact the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) achievement. All these efforts align with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) implementation across all Pertamina's business lines and operations.**
