Inacraft on October 2023 Opened by President Jokowi, Pertamina Presents 20 Best Fostered SMEs

Jakarta, October 4, 2023 – PT Pertamina (Persero) once again brought together the best SMEs partner at the International Handicraft Trade Fair (Inacraft) in October 2023, officially opened by President Jokowi at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) on Wednesday, October 4, 2023.

President Jokowi appreciates the exhibition, which has improved and become more attractive each year.

"I see that from year to year, Inacraft is getting better and more attractive because we are familiar with the brands as one of Southeast Asia's largest handicraft product exhibitions," Jokowi said.

The President added that Inacraft always showcases the best craftsmanship products, curated and rigorously selected.

"Inacraft this year, I observed briefly, is certainly somewhat different. The ambiance and feel are also different, and the showcases and products are better," he added.

In the exhibition held from October 4 to 8, 2023, Pertamina presented 20 of its best SMEs partner that had undergone a rigorous curation process by Pertamina.

Vice President of Corporate Communication of PT Pertamina (Persero), Fadjar Djoko Santoso, stated that they continue to support the government's efforts to advance SMEs to become self-reliant and competitive in the global market.

"Pertamina has fostered SMEs throughout Indonesia with outstanding products ready to enter the international market. The Inacraft 2023 event is expected to be a golden bridge for SMEs to enter the export market," Fadjar said.

Fadjar added that Pertamina's fostered SME at Inacraft 2023 consists of 15 Micro Small Business Funding (PUMK) SMEs and 5 SMEs from state-owned enterprises. These SMEs offer a variety of products, ranging from fabric and jewelry to unique Indonesian-style accessories. Among them are UMKM Songket Ilham Bahari, Pengrajin Pelangi, CV. Aamira, Gunawan Design, Griva Kain Solo, Adhimas Handy Craft, Kraton Leather, Almira, Mutiara Gitbay, Haluan Bali, Faiza Bordir, Batik Sumber Arafat, and Puri Bali Silver. In addition, Bali Pure, N21 Handmade Kantan Sasirangan, Sikilib Collection, Akar Dewa Jati, Loyok Kreatif, and Kainnesia.

Fadjar also mentioned that the SMEs presented at Inacraft 2023 were selected based on several criteria, including production capacity readiness for large orders, continuity in production, and certification.

Pertamina also featured several engaging activities at their booth, such as painting batik on wood and fabric and learning to weave bags. Additionally, there were booths for Moto GP merchandise and Canaya coffee, as well as various discounts and attractive offers.

The fostered SME involvement in the Inacraft is one of Pertamina's contributions to achieving SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) point 8, related to job creation, economic growth, and the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) based programs implementation in all of Pertamina's operational areas.
