Homecoming Flow Predicted to Increase, Pertamina Standby Returns to Guarantee Community Energy Needs

Jakarta, April 4, 2023 – The government has officially set a collective leave day from April 19 to 26. One of the reasons for this collective leave day is to consider the people's movement traveling back to stay in touch with their hometowns, which has increased from 85 million in 2022 to 123 million people in 2023.

Based on the data, the President Director of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Subholding Commercial & Trading, Alfian Nasution said that several preparations were mapped out so services and energy needs are met properly considering the potential congestion occurring on the main homecoming routes.

"Pertamina Patra Niaga reactivated the 1444H Ramadan and Idul Fitri Task Force Team (RAFI Task Force) from April 1 to May 2, 2023. This task force is not only from the internal Pertamina Group but also collaborates with several key stakeholders, such as the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Ministry of Transportation, BPH Migas, Police, TNI, Jasa Marga, and Telkom Indonesia thus the energy needs for fuel, LPG, Avtur are met properly," Alfian explained.

Several initial preparations were made, such as increasing stock resilience 14 days before Eid al-Fitr, alerting main facilities, which include 114 Fuel Terminals, 23 LPG Terminals, more than 7,400 petrol stations, 667 SPBEs, 4,972 LPG Agents, and 68 DPPUs. Stock and distribution in several facilities will be monitored at the Integrated Enterprise Data & Center Command Center (IEDCC) on standby 24 hours, including CCTV connections to 617 petrol stations on the main route.

Besides the main services, standby services, and additional services are also prepared, such as 1,505 Standby Petrol Stations, 5,471 Standby LPG Agents, 43 Pertamina Standby Kiosks, 391 Pertamina Delivery Service (PDS) Motorists, 201 Standby Tank Cars, additional tanks at petrol stations, especially in small islands, and 13 Pertamina Alert houses.

"We have prepared standby services and additional services for main roads, disaster-prone routes or extreme weather, traffic-prone routes, as well as tourist sites that were mapped out. This service does not operate alone. We coordinate closely with the Regional Government and the Indonesian Navy for KRI operation to cooperate during extreme weather. For health services we also cooperate with the Indonesia Health Corporation (IHC)," Alfian added.

Not to forget, Pertamina Patra Niaga has also returned to providing a loyalty program for loyal users of Pertamax Series, Dex Series, Bright Gas, Fastron and Enduro, as well as sharing programs with the community such as MyPertamina sharing takjil and Beduk Bright Gas, namely breaking the fast with small businesses and the community.

"So people don't need to worry. Pertamina Patra Niaga is here to bring the spirit of Energy Full of Blessings, ensuring that the energy we distribute is ready to assist all worship activities during Ramadan and the community's homecoming travels, starting from homecoming to returning later," Alfian concluded.
