Collaborating with LKPP, Pertamina Implements E-Catalog Application

Jakarta, September 29, 2023 - PT Pertamina (Persero) has partnered with the Government Procurement Policy Agency (LKPP) to implement the E-Catalog Application. Through the Business Support Directorate's Procurement Function, Pertamina officially signed a cooperation agreement for the E-Catalog Application with LKPP on Friday, September 29, 2023.

The President Commissioner of Pertamina, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, President Director of Pertamina, Nicke Widyawati, and officials from LKPP were present at the signing ceremony.

The E-Catalog Application implementation reflects Pertamina's commitment to supporting digital transformation and transparency in all business processes within the Pertamina Group. E-Catalog offers several advantages, including transparency, faster procurement processes, and greater ease for vendors to offer their products, which could make procurement prices more competitive.

Nicke Widyawati, President Director of PT Pertamina (Persero), stated that Pertamina is the first state-owned enterprise to implement the LKPP E-Catalog Application. Such procurement methods are crucial for the Company's efficiency efforts and hold significant potential.

"These numbers are substantial, especially when talking about Opex and Capex. The efficiency measures we have taken are highly significant. We believe that this step is the best," Nicke said.

Furthermore, Nicke mentioned there is a development aspect. The multitude of goods and services purchased by Pertamina will enrich LKPP's database, especially for items that could be standardized with an e-catalog. According to her, Pertamina is not only implementing what had existed but also developing to increase the Domestic Component Levels (TKDN) realization.

In 2022, Pertamina successfully achieved a TKDN realization of up to 60% of all projects carried out in the Pertamina Group, surpassing the set target of 40%. Through cooperation with LKPP, it is hoped that the realization could further increase in the coming years.

"For us, TKDN is not just a number but is based on quality. It is not just a mandatory program but a necessity for our state-owned enterprise to use high-quality domestic products," Nicke said.

At the same event, Hendrar Prihadi, Head of LKPP, expressed that Pertamina's implementation of the LKPP e-catalog was an admirable achievement. He believes that this can catalyze other SOEs.

"With Pertamina as the pioneering SOE using this system, hopefully, it will become a role model. This system will enable procurement to become faster, more transparent, and more effective," Hendrar said.
